Importing a skyline can be a cheaper way of getting a skyline but it can also be troublesome and take some time. There are a few different model's of skyline you can go for - if you don't know the difference its pretty much an age based thing - really you should go and do some research - theres tons of good resources on skylines, forums etc - get in with the people because you wont find a cooler car owner than skyline owners :D

When buying a car like a nissan skyline its important to check out your car insurance, get the car properly looked at and also take it for a bit of a blatt. Skyline's are a high performance car so your insurance might be extortionate depending on your age etc. You will be able to tell a lot from taking the car out and about too - it should run smooooooth!

Get a modification list
If you are buying a skyline the chances are it will be a modified one, get a complete list of modifications off the current owner - you never know when it will be useful - its far to easy to just assume you know everything about the car without really knowing. So yeah get a full list of modifications, reciepts if you can and as much paperwork on the car!
